The Hornby Trust welcomed a new Chair, Harry Kuchah Kuchah at the helm in September 2024.

The Hornby Trust are delighted to Welcome Harry Kuchah Kuchah as their new Chair. The outgoing Chair Caroline Moore stepped down in September after completing 4 years in the post. The Trust would like to thank her for her excellent work and dedication.

Harry said, “I am delighted to be taking over from Caroline Moore as the new Chair of the A.S Hornby Educational Trust. In 2006, I was a lucky recipient of the Hornby Scholarship to pursue MA studies in Teaching English to Young Learners at the University of Warwick. This was a life-changing experience for me and the relationships I developed with fellow Hornby Scholars has endured to this day. Becoming a Hornby Trustee was one way of giving back my experience, expertise and time to the service of a Charity that made me who I have become – a global voice in ELT. As the incoming Chair, I look forward to working with Hornby Trustees, our partners and the great Hornby Alumni community around the World to continue to encourage, support and inspire context-appropriate excellence in English Language education.”

We all give Harry our congratulations and wish Harry the very best for the future.
